Green Hydrogen holds great potential for the transition towards climate friendly energy systems, and for the EU’s energy independency.
In 2020, under the German EU Council Presidency, the European research ministers agreed to launch a joint Research and Innovation Initiative on Green Hydrogen, as part of their efforts to implement a first European Research Area pilot on green hydrogen.
Following a set of workshops and a publication consultation in 2021, the task force has presented its Research & Innovation Strategic Agenda on 18 March 2022.
