ERA communication sets the pace for an efficient uptake of research and innovation results

The new ERA highlights the need to translate Europe’s scientific leadership into relevant and sustainable products, services, processes and solutions that support the wellbeing of citizens, economic prosperity, policymaking and strategic autonomy.

Besides, research and innovation ecosystem has become more complex and involves an increasingly large number of players. This underlines a need to further develop a modern knowledge valorisation policy able to maximise the market uptake of innovations.

Furthermore, in a competitive global environment, knowledge management and protection are more important than ever. A European valorisation strategy will help address the new challenges of digitalisation, open science and open innovation.
