EIC appoints high-level Programme Manager for medical technologies

The EIC has appointed Enric Claverol-Tinturé as Programme Manager for medical technology (“medtech”) and devices in the EIC Taskforce. He will actively manage the existing EIC medtech project portfolio and drive the EIC’s strategy for this area in the upcoming Research and Innovation Framework Programme, Horizon Europe (2021 – 2027).

The role of the Programme Managers is to contribute with expert technology and market knowledge to the EIC project portfolio and help transform the early technology visions into reality, advancing innovative projects and companies along the EIC pipeline from early stage research to commercially successful innovations.

This appointment is part of the EIC Pilot in Horizon 2020 (2014 – 2020), and paves the way for the critical role of Programme Managers in the fully-fledged EIC to be established as part of Horizon Europe (2021 – 2027). Further appointments are expected during the Autumn.
