Commission awards Seal of Excellence for outstanding Teaming-for-excellence proposals

Last week, the European Commission awarded 11 Seal of Excellence certificates to proposals submitted under Horizon Europe Widening call Teaming-for-excellence.  These proposals have been evaluated as high quality but cannot be funded due to lack of budget available to this call. National or regional funding authorities can benefit from the high quality Horizon Europe evaluation without the need to perform a new one.

Horizon Europe’s Widening actions supports those EU countries that continue to lag behind in research and innovation to increase the performance of their R&I system. Under Widening portfolio of actions Teaming is focused on institution building through establishing new centers of excellence or modernising existing ones with the help of leading European partnering institutions.
