The AU-EU Innovation Agenda at the African Regional STI Forum

On 22 April, the Africa-Europe Partnership on Research and Innovation was highlighted  at the 2024 African Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Forum hosted by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.

The AU-EU Innovation Agenda was the topic for discussion focusing on access to finance for young innovators, with the participation of international and regional financing institutes, and high-level representatives from African Union Member States and international organisations.

The discussion revolved around the role of STI funding to achieve the most pressing SDGs, as well as the role of the joint Innovation Agenda in matching innovators and funders.
