This summary article summarizes the learnings of the MLE on knowledge valorisation and its role to maximise the impact of R&I.
The effective management of intellectual assets is key to accelerate the uptake of innovative solutions to address challenges like health, crisis or the green and digital transitions. The 2022 Guiding principles for knowledge valorisation emphasise leveraging the broadest range of intellectual assets for an increased social and economic value of research results.
The survey aims to identify the demand from industry and other stakeholders for standards as potential results of research and innovation (R & I) projects, to assess how EU R & I framework programmes could tackle them, and generally to raise awareness of the importance of standardisation as a knowledge valorisation channel.
