The European Research and Innovation Days, Europe’s annual flagship event on the future of research and innovation, will kick off today at 13:45 CET. The fully virtual event will run until tomorrow 29 September. It features more than 50 live sessions and interactive workshops, around 200 speakers and connects more than 12000 policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and citizens to discuss and shape new solutions to strengthen Europe’s resilience and its strategic autonomy.
The programme includes sessions on the new European Innovation Agenda, deep tech talents, women founders and funders, the New European Bauhaus, young innovators, the European Year of Youth, the richness of European cultural creativity, the EU Missions and many more topics.
Next to the policy conference, an interactive digital space named the 2022 EU R&I Days Village will provide for networking and matchmaking opportunities. The Village will include several digital ‘Houses’, covering the Horizon Europe programme in general, EU Missions and the European Research Area. Moreover, the European Research and Innovation Exhibition will showcase EU-funded research and innovation projects that are paving the way to achieve EU Missions’ goals.
Mariya Gabriel, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth said:
