Description
The overarching goal of the workshop is to comprehensively understand prevailing practices and challenges in accessibility of TIs. It seeks to foster the exchange of information and experiences, shedding light on the diverse needs and constraints of users in accessing TIs. Delving into access modes, categories, conditions, as well as associated legal, financial, and administrative frameworks, the workshop serves as a forum to share insights, examples, and best practices. It will also scrutinise contractual matters, rights and obligations of TIs and users, as well as the relevant aspects of data management and intellectual property rights.
Ultimately, the workshop sets out to identify the existing bottlenecks that impede broad and effective access to TIs. It aims to explore potential support schemes available for SMEs and startups navigating the technological landscape. Tailored for TI managers, private and public users, stakeholders, and the broader community of infrastructures servicing industrial users, the workshop's working sessions will provide inputs for shaping access standards. These recommendations will form the basis for further work, addressing the nuanced role of TIs in knowledge transfer processes, facilitating access to TIs, and incorporating these considerations into instruments and programmes.
