European Research & Innovation Days 2026
The seventh edition of the European Commission’s flagship research and innovation event will take place on 10 and 11 November 2026 in Brussels and online.
It brings together policymakers, researchers, innovators, business leaders and representatives of civil society to debate how research and innovation can strengthen Europe’s competitiveness, resilience and technological sovereignty.
The event will be opened by Ekaterina Zaharieva, European Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation.

The sixth edition of European Commission’s flagship event brought together policymakers, researchers and business leaders to shape Europe’s research and innovation agenda.
Across two days and more than 20 sessions, the programme explored Europe’s competitiveness and industrial leadership including debates on the Startup and Scaleup Strategy, the European Life Sciences Strategy, the AI in Science Strategy and the European Innovation and European Research Area Acts. From high-level panels to hands-on breakouts and focused networking, Research and Innovation Days link policy with real-world impact.
