Towards a robust innovation ecosystem for the future of Europe – stakeholders perspectives

The results of a stakeholder consultation titled: "A Robust Innovation Ecosystem for the Future of Europe" was published today. It takes stock of the outcome of eight workshops, including a questionnaire and high-level conference, held between the end of October 2019 and the end of February 2020.

The report presents the challenges, needs and priorities of stakeholders from across innovation ecosystems in Europe; identifies initiatives for the further development of the ecosystems; and gathers suggestions and ideas for actions to be considered for the forthcoming Horizon Europe European Innovation Ecosystems work programme. The findings constitute an essential contribution to the preparation of European Innovation Ecosystems work programme, which is due to be presented in early 2021

The consultation was carried out by the European Innovation Council pilot (EIC), and brought together more than 350 stakeholders, including: start-ups and SMEs, investors, corporates, universities and research and technology organisations, regions and cities, national Innovation Agencies and ministries.
