The last EU-Moldova Joint Committee Meeting under the association agreement of Horizon 2020 took place on Friday 27 November 2020 online.
It was co-chaired by Anatolie Topală, Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova and Anne Haglund-Morrissey, Deputy Head of Unit, Horizon Europe Association, of DG R&I.
Participants covered the latest evolution in R&I policy developments, such as the implementation of the 2016 Policy Support Facility recommendations by the Republic of Moldova, the recent H2020 EU Green Deal Call and the new ERA Communication. Representatives then looked at Moldova’s participation in H2020, including the Marie Slodowska Curie Actions, as well as the smart specialization strategies lead by the Joint Research Center.
Both sides underlined the importance of their R&I cooperation, and looked forward to renewing this success in the future R&I Framework Programme Horizon Europe.
