The 15th Seal of Excellence Community of Practice meeting took place last week. This community works through regular meetings jointly chaired by the Commission (Directorate General of Research and innovation and Directorate General of Regional and Urban Policy).
Over 50 participants met to discuss and share experiences and best practices in the implementation of the Seal of Excellence in their countries/regions.
The Commission presented the latest development in R&I and Cohesion policy. It also provided an update on the EIC Seals and showed a demo of a new IT platform designed to improve the information flow on the Seal of Excellence data to the interested national or regional funding bodies.
Other topics presented were on opportunities of InvestEU portal and Seal related amendments of General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER). An open discussion followed the presentations where the participants could get practical advice to their questions.
The meeting closed with Spain, Italy, Bulgaria and Austria showcasing the schemes they put in place to support Seal of Excellence and also sharing some of the challenges.
