New R&I programme for African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries

On 31 March, a new Research and Innovation programme for African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries was launched. The programme is worth €60 million and will be implemented between 2021-2025.

It aims at strengthening ACP countries' capacities to find innovative solutions to support sustainable and inclusive economic growth as a key dimension to tackle poverty. The programme comprises the ACP Innovation Fund (EUR 51 million) to support innovation ecosystems and technology transfer as well as the ACP Policy Support Facility (EUR 2,5 million) to enhance the quality and efficiency of research and innovation policies, strategies and systems.
