Jury members are welcomed to Brussels for a week of face-to-face final-stage evaluations. Small and medium-sized companies can receive up to €2.5 million in EU funding as part of the SME Instrument Phase II funding programme

This is the first time that applicants in the final stage will pitch their ideas to a jury of 15% business angels, 20% entrepreneurs, 20% venture capitalists, experts from larger corporates, innovation hubs and accelerators, the majority of which are women - who will evaluate the solidity of their innovation plan.

The interviews will last for no longer than 30 minutes, and will include:

  • 10-minute pitch
  • 20 minutes of questions from the jury on the company, the team, the technological feasibility, the projected results and the potential to expand and create new markets

Best of luck to all the innovators!
