Let Knowledge Serve the City: The Urban Transitions Mission Centre launches its Knowledge Repository

Launch of UTMC Knowledge Repository

The Urban Transitions Mission Centre (UTMC) is a global collaborative platform that aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, capacities and funding opportunities to accelerate the urban transitions to climate neutrality and net-zero emissions. The UTMC builds on the results of the EU’s Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission Platform in order to support the activities of the global Urban Transitions Mission (UTM) of Mission Innovation.

Following the kick-off of its activities on 12 December 2022, the UTMC has launched today a Knowledge Repository that gathers tools, solutions and ideas for urban transitions. The curated evidence and good practice under the repository is available to cities worldwide, including the growing city cohort of the Urban Transitions Mission. The Knowledge Repository can be accessed by joining the UTMC global platform.

Funded under Horizon Europe, the Urban Transitions Mission Centre (UTMC) is being set up by urban expert teams from JPI Urban Europe, the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL), Eurocities, the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM), ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, and LGI Sustainable Innovation.
