Journées Tuniso-Européennes de la Science et de l'Innovation" (TESI) took place in Tunis on 9 and 10 September 2019.

TESI was an event organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS) of the Republic of Tunisia, the Directorate General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission (DG RTD) and the Delegation of the European Union (DUE) in Tunisia to take stock of Tunisian-European research and innovation (R&I) cooperation and to explore future developments.

Around 500 participants attended the event. The conference hosts were Dr. Slim Khalbous, Minister for Higher Education and Scientific Research of Republic of Tunisia and the EU Ambassador to Tunisia, His Excellency Mr. Patrice Bergamini.

Deputy Director General for Open Innovation & Chief Negociator for Horizon Europe Association Ms Signe Ratso attended the conference while delivering the key note speech and a presentation on “The role of research and innovation in the European Union policies”. The Policy Support Facility final report on Tunisia and the EIC roadshow were key parts of the agenda of the conference.
