These events welcome all interested parties involved in plastic value chain management and green technologies including industry and business representatives, researchers, government agencies, and NGOs. This third event of six focuses on the cradle-to-cradle approaches towards biodegradable polymer technologies. Specifically highlighted will be the applications of biopolymers – from food and consumer packaging to medical applications – and the varied technologies and resources in which these biopolymers can be produced and managed in more economically viable ways.
EU-ASEAN Webinar Series
GreenTech & Innovation Mapping Dialogue: Green Technologies for Plastic Value Chain Management
Series 3 of 6: The Cradle-to-Cradle Approaches: Biodegradable Polymer Technologies
Thursday, 29 April 2021, 15:30-18:00 GMT+8 (8:30-11:00 CET)
The objective of these webinars is to amplify awareness, to create platforms for dialogues on technology markets and innovators, and to promote EU-ASEAN technology cooperation and transfer. To realise this, the webinars offer a platform for dialogue between European and ASEAN stakeholders in the plastic wastes management domain, where state-of-the-art and future perspectives of plastic wastes management and its key elements are discussed, where new technologies and solutions are presented and where technology suppliers and users can meet to lay the grounds for future collaboration.
E-READI supports the EU-ASEAN Dialogue on Green Technology & Innovation Mapping (GreenTech) in cooperation with ASEAN. The dialogue aims to contribute to sustainable green growth by fostering EU-ASEAN technology transfer, research cooperation and STI capacity building in sustainable technologies. In this context, the second webinar of the series will focus on the pilot sector of plastic wastes management in order to establish relevant dialogues.
These webinars are part of a pilot project on plastic value chain management, led by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Philippines, and supported under E-READI dialogues on Green Technology Innovation and Mapping in close cooperation with the European Commission Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) and ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) Science and Technology Division.
