The European Commission awarded Seal of Excellence to 48 proposals submitted to the first 2023 cut-off of the European Research’s Council Proof of Concept programme. The independent experts scored these proposals above all quality thresholds but the applicants missed out on European funding due to lack of budget available to this call. National or regional funding authorities are encouraged to step in with supplementary funding and benefit from the high quality Horizon Europe evaluation.
The Horizon Europe Proof of Concept programme supports ERC-funded ideas to progress on the path from ground-breaking research towards innovation. All proposals have strong potential for societal and commercial application.
