€350 million proposed to support Green Deal innovators across Europe

A proposed update to the European Innovation Council (EIC) Pilot work programme, under Horizon 2020 includes €350 million ‘green deal’ calls for game-changing, market-creating innovation contributing to the goals of The European Green Deal and the UN’’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The main element will be a €300 million one-off call under the EIC Accelerator to support start-ups and SMEs to develop and scale breakthrough innovations that address at least one of the eight goals of The European Green Deal. This represents the largest ever funding round under the EIC pilot and has a deadline for applications of 19 May 2020.

The updated work programme also provides new opportunities for start-ups and SMEs with women CEOs (or equivalent positions) under the EIC Accelerator. For more information on the draft work programme see below.
