EU and ASEAN Series on Green Technologies - Series 4 of 6: Plastic Wastes Consolidation and Recycling Approaches

Under the Enhanced Regional EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument (E-READI), the event welcomed all interested parties involved in plastic value chain management and green technologies including industry and business representatives, researchers, government agencies, and NGOs. This fourth event of six focuses on Plastic Wastes Consolidation and Recycling Approaches. Specifically, it highlighted:

  • Special talks with EU Horizon 2020-funded projects addressing issue
  • Best practices and models from ASEAN will be the applications of biopolymers – from food and consumer packaging to medical applications – and the varied technologies and resources in which these biopolymers can be produced and managed in more economically viable ways.

These webinars are part of a pilot project on plastic value chain management, led by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Philippines, and supported under E-READI with the European Commission Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) and ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) Science and Technology Division.
