EGE sends letter supporting Commission President Ursula von der Leyen

In September, the EGE (the European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies) wrote to President von der Leyen, further to her State of the Union address, sending a vibrant message of thanks and support.

The response to the letter is a strong endorsement of the EGE as a body, as well as of the work that it delivers. The mobilisation of the EGE on COVID-19, with the Statement it produced as first-mover at a key juncture, is particularly saluted, and so is its authoritative guidance on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence.

These and other statements can be found in the EGE opinions and statements section.
