Copernicus Marine Service supports H2020 projects

In May 2020, Copernicus Marine Service launches the #CMEMSforH2020 campaign to promote the use of Copernicus Marine Data among project funded under the Horizon 2020 EU programme, and all marine-related EU-funded projects.

If you are a H2020 project holder dealing with the sustainable blue economy, Copernicus Marine can offer free of charge marine data. The #CMEMSforH2020 campaign will show how Copernicus Marine data can be useful for your scientific discipline, business sector or research institute. This campaign also highlights projects from current Copernicus Marine users developing marine applications and services with significant societal and environmental impacts.

Use Copernicus Marine Data

Marine-related H2020, ERC, MSCA and many other projects can benefit from free of charge Copernicus Marine Service data, which look into:

• the Blue ocean: temperature, salinity, currents, and waves
• the Green ocean: nutrients, living species, sea water quality and transparency
• the White ocean: sea ice conditions

Copernicus Marine Service is dedicated to ocean observation and monitoring. Its data provide an overview of the state of the ocean during the past 25 years, its current state, and 10-day forecasts. Copernicus Marine Service provides information on the state of the physical and biogeochemical ocean at European and global level. It offers key inputs that support major EU and international policies and initiatives and can contribute to: combating pollution, marine protection, maritime safety and routing, sustainable use of ocean resources, developing marine energy resources, blue growth, climate monitoring, weather forecasting, and more.
