The Clean Energy Technology Observatory goes online

Today, the European Commission published its annual progress report on competitiveness of clean energy technologies (CPR)

As an important contribution of in-depth evidence to the report, the Clean Energy Technology Observatory (CETO) monitors research & innovation activities on clean energy technologies and solutions. It also provides a repository of techno- and socio-economic data on clean energy technologies and their integration in the energy system. CETO targets in particular the status and outlook for innovative solutions as well as the sustainable market uptake of both mature and innovative technologies.

CETO covers current and forthcoming innovative technologies in a report series published by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) today.

CETO is a joint initiative between the Joint Research Centre, DG Research and Innovation and DG Energy. Starting from 2022, CETO monitors the EU research and innovation activities on the clean energy technologies needed to achieve the European Green Deal’s objectives. It builds on the previous work in the Low Carbon Energy Observatory.
