Clean Aviation for a Competitive Green Recovery in Europe: Innovative Ideas Take Flight

On 22 April, Clean Sky, the Joint Undertaking of the European Commission for aviation, organised a virtual conference, which gathered several hundreds of participants.

Discussions focused on the future of aviation, in the presence of Adina Valean, Commissioner for Transport, Thierry Breton, Commissioner for the Internal Market, CEOs of aviation companies and public authorities.

They discussed the challenges that the aviation industry is facing and also solutions and paths to recovery.

In the concluding remarks, the Director-General of Research and Innovation, Jean-Eric Paquet, acknowledged the enthusiasm and the strong commitment of all the stakeholders to invest in research and innovation to achieve this ambitious goal.
He also highlighted the fact that the upcoming European Partnership for Clean Aviation in Horizon Europe will support innovative green recovery for aviation and help reach the goals of the European Green Deal.
