Call for expression of interests for ‘green’ Programme Manager

The European Commission today published a call for a Programme Manager for breakthrough energy and environmental technologies, of vital importance for the Green Deal.

The selected individual is expected to make a major contribution to achieving breakthroughs in strategic clean energy and environmental emerging technologies, in particular through the oversight and management support of a portfolio of research and/or innovation projects funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC). Names of the first set of programme managers in the EIC Pilot will be announced in the second quarter of 2020, following a similar call last year.

As the role of programme managers is new to the European Commission and the EIC, a group of leading experts have been appointed to develop recommendations on how Programme Managers can achieve maximum impact, under the EIC pilot and under the fully-fledged EIC (2021 – 2027), when the role is expected to be rolled out more extensively.

Apply by 16 April 2020.
