“The AU-EU Innovation Agenda – Making it happen”, this will be the title of the hybrid event taking place on 21 September (9:00 - 11:30 in New York / 15:00 - 17:30 pm in Brussels) as part of UNGA77 Science Summit.
This Session will aim to present and discuss the brand-new AU-EU Innovation Agenda, which aspires to foster the translation of Research and Innovation into tangible products, services, businesses and jobs, in Africa and Europe. In particular, the event will contribute to raise awareness on the Innovation Agenda among International Development, Cooperation and Financial Institutions with a view to triggering an enduring and result-oriented dialogue with them.
Kindly hosted within the premises of Flanders House New York and organised by the European Commission in close collaboration with the African Union Commission and AUDA-NEPAD, the session will include contributions from organisations such as; the UN Technology Bank for LDCs, UNEP, UN FAO, UNDP, African Development Bank, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Breakthrough Energy Ventures, amongst others. Participation is possible both online and in person at Flanders House New York.
