Workshop “EU Sustainable Finance Taxonomy: an opportunity for sustainable industrial R&I"

This report summarises the presentations and discussions in the policy workshop “EU Sustainable Finance Taxonomy: an opportunity for sustainable industrial R&I” organised by DG R&I on 12 November 2020.

In the workshop, industrial stakeholders and potential EU taxonomy users from the European Partnerships, policymakers from the Commission and experts from industry and the financial sector discussed the future challenges in linking the EU taxonomy and the sustainable finance framework to research, technology and industrial investments in order to facilitate the transition towards sustainability. The main objective of the workshop was to identify key aspects for placing sustainable finance and EU taxonomy in the context of industrial R&I and the activities of the European Partnerships and to help advance the R&I agenda of European industries towards the Green Deal’s objectives.
