European Capitals of Innovation 2016-2019

The annual European Capital of Innovation awards recognise European cities that have best harnessed innovation to improve life for their inhabitants. Funded under Horizon 2020, the EU’s research and innovation programme, and chosen by an independent expert jury, the Awards reward inspiring innovation approaches that address every aspect of city life – from technology, business and mobility through to social cohesion, the environment and sustainability.
