The Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE) will take place on 13-14 November in Budapest and will focus on boosting European competitiveness with RDI and combatting the fragmentation of the European innovation ecosystem as a key factors of competitiveness for the European Union in the upcoming years.
The conference provides a platform for policymakers, public authorities, knowledge centres and enterprises to discuss research and innovation practices, challenges and opportunities across the European regions, with a direct view on the current and future EU funding opportunities.

WIRE is organised since 2010 and is the main European policy forum for R&I and regional development.
This XIII edition is held by the Hungarian National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDIO) under the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, with the financial support of the European Commission.
All sessions will be livestreamed, but we encourage in-person participation as there will be various networking opportunities throughout the program.
