This ThatCamp #2 is meant to provide a forum to share concepts, strategies of crowdfunding as well as discuss the potential for crowdfunding in the SSH. The event is an opportunity to learn from each other, brainstorm together, identify roadblocks, raise concerns and dream up solutions on a peer-to-peer level. Join us to explore and discuss the depths of scientific crowdfunding!
What are your first thoughts when you hear about crowdfunding in Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH)? The term “scientific crowdfunding” mainly evokes images of researchers from the natural sciences, medicine or technical sciences while highly profiled and publicly visible crowdfunding campaigns from the SSH rarely exist. In the SSH the full potential of generating funds is still to be explored.
