The Group of Chief Scientific Advisors, a part of the Scientific Advice Mechanism to the European Commission (SAM) is preparing a Scientific Opinion titled “Towards sustainable food consumption”, informed by the Evidence Review Report provided by SAPEA.
The Opinion, scheduled for publication in June 2023, will contain recommendations on effective evidence-based actions which policymakers could use to overcome the barriers preventing consumers to adopt sustainable and healthy diets and foster the necessary change towards sustainability in the food environment.
On 09 June 2023 a stakeholder meeting will take place in order to present the key recommendations contained in the Opinion and get feedback on them.
