“How to make R&I a driver in the African-European cooperation for sustainable development?” - Launch of Advisory Group on African-European R&I Cooperation

Six high-level experts from Africa and Europe advise the EC on how to boost the potential of R&I for Africa-Europe cooperation. At this kick-off event, the experts present an outline of their work to a great audience of policy makers from the Commissions and AUC and EU member state representatives.

The AG´s work focuses on four thematic pillars:

1. EU-Africa stepped up cooperation in R&I for empowered public health systems
2. How to strengthen R&I capacities in Africa focusing on both regional and bilateral cooperation
3. Innovation and technology revolution
4. Green Transition in Africa.

The event further provides the opportunity to ask questions and exchange with the experts.

The kick-off event is only the start of a series of events to enable a lively exchange between policy makers from across the EC, AUC and the experts and their team.
