The European Commission – DG Research and Innovation, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, BDLI, DLR, INCAS and UEFISCDI are jointly organising the second part of the 8th European Aeronautics Days, #Aerodays2020.
For almost three decades, the Aerodays have been the leading event in aviation research and innovation, mirroring the priorities and strategies set within the European Union Research Framework Programmes. The 8th Aerodays build on the achievements of Horizon 2020, the biggest EU research and innovation programme to date, and will provide input for the next programme, Horizon Europe.
The #Aerodays2020 in Germany includes two events:
- At the Berlin Aviation Summit on 24 November 2020 leading representatives from the aviation industry, research and government (on invitation only) will discuss challenges and opportunities the aviation sector is facing. This year, the Berlin Aviation Summit (BAS) will be taking place in an adapted format with an on-site programme for speakers and invited guests in Berlin along with an online offering via streaming platform for virtual participants.
- The talks and panel discussions during the #AeroDays2020 FORUM on 25-26 November 2020 will address the aviation industry’s most urgent and fascinating issues. Speakers will include senior officials from the European Commission, policy makers and leading representatives from the aviation industry and research. The panel discussions at the #AeroDays2020 FORUM will be open to all registered visitors and serve as a platform for the dissemination and implementation of world-leading EU projects and technical programmes based on the Horizon 2020 framework.
The #AeroDays2020 will take place as a hybrid-event, adapted to the current COVID-19 situation, on-site for speakers and guests at the venue Meistersaal in Berlin and live streaming for virtual participants.
