The Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission - webinar

This open webinar aims to inform cities about the "Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission", what benefits it entails and how they can become part of it.

On 29 September, the Commission launched five EU Missions, including the Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission with the following objectives:

  • to achieve 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030 and
  • to ensure that these cities act as experimentation and innovation hubs to put all European cities in a position to become climate-neutral by 2050.

To mark the occasion, cities are invited to a webinar on Friday 1 October, 10:00-12:00 CET, on how the Mission will work and how they can become part of it.

Speakers include Matthew Baldwin (Mission Manager, Deputy Director General, DG MOVE), Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz (Chair of the Mission Board), Thomas Osdoba (coordinator of the NetZeroCities project setting up the Mission Platform) and Dirk Beckers (Director of CINEA).

Frequently Asked Questions document is also available, which contains answers to the questions asked by participants.
