Clean Steel and Transport: EU moves green

‘To achieve the climate-neutrality objective by 2050, it’s essential to foster synergies between steel and transport worlds, to enhance the production of Clean Steel needed by the different transport modes and infrastructures.’

The R&I Days represent the European Commission’s R&I annual flagship event bringing together policy-makers, researchers, entrepreneurs and the public to debate and shape the future of R&I. This year the event went virtual, because of the COVID 19 emergency.

The session ‘Clean Steel and Transport: EU moved green!’ under the moderation of the MEP Maria Graça da Carvalho and the EC RTD Director Peter Dröll, illustrated the use of Clean Steel in Maritime and Space Aviation domains with the participation of Ms Kjersti Kleven (Sea Europe), Mr Tommaso Ghidini (ESA) and Mr Mario Caldonazzo.*

The session has been organized by RTD Unit D3 with unit D2 and DG Grow.
