This sounding board meeting on the topic “Adaptation to climate change-related health effects” brought together the Chief Scientific Advisors and a select group of scientific experts acting in their personal capacity, specifically Prof Berrang-Ford from Priestly International Centre for Climate; Prof Sauerborn from University Hospital Heidelberg; Dr Fuessel from European Environmental Agency; Dr Eggen from MetOffice, C3S; Dr Feyen from the Joint Research Centre. The meeting was co-chaired by Chief Scientific Advisors Carina Keskitalo, Nicole Grobert and Elvira Fortunato.
The objective was to elicit expert views on the scope, accuracy, clarity, feasibility, and order of importance of the recommendations made in the preliminary scientific opinion.
